General Terms and Conditions

Receipt and Return of Goods:

In person, or delivered by courier service to the business address:
Matej Janečka SA ELECTRONIC SERVIS, Novomeského 10, 977 01 Brezno (hereinafter referred to as the “service center”).

Shipping and Delivery Conditions:

Goods must be properly packaged, considering potential damage during transport. This is sensitive electronic equipment!

Please make sure to properly pack, cushion, and ensure the strength of the shipping box. Ideally, if possible, use a BOX-in-BOX packaging approach—meaning the component is packed in one box, which is then placed inside a second, outer box, with flexible padding in between, such as foam polystyrene, bubble wrap, etc.

Mark the package as FRAGILE / HANDLE WITH CARE.

Do not tie the package with rope, as it can snap during handling!

Instead, use stretch wrap to secure and reinforce the entire package.

Reasonable package weight – up to 15 kg.

Packages over 15 kg – you may face issues, such as finding a suitable box… and you risk damage.
Packages exceeding this weight are problematic to transport for safety reasons.

Dispatching Goods to the Customer:

I am a contractual partner of SPS s.r.o. – UPS Slovakia.
All shipments are sent EXCLUSIVELY VIA THIS SERVICE.
I pay close attention to every outgoing shipment—its packaging, cushioning, overall durability, and safety.
I assume no liability for goods damaged during transit.
Shipping costs are not included in the repair price.

Payments:

For in-person pickup: cash or payment via QR code.
For shipped packages: cash on delivery to the courier or advance bank transfer to my account.
Subject to agreement.

Warranty:

I provide a 3-month warranty on repaired devices.
The warranty period begins on the day the device is picked up after repair and is extended by the duration for which the device was repeatedly in repair.
Maximum attention is given to every job; after repair, each device is measured, inspected, and subjected to extended testing. This means it has been operated under normal conditions for at least 48 hours without exhibiting any issues.
For older equipment, especially VINTAGE items, you must take into account its age and wear; therefore, faults may recur, and not necessarily only in the repaired part.
The warranty covers labor and materials to the extent specified in the service work order.
It does not cover any other defects that were not the subject of the repair or occurred later and were not billed.
The warranty expires upon the end of the warranty period, as well as in the event of unauthorized tampering, damage caused by natural disasters, power grid faults, or improper use.
The warranty applies solely to the executed repairs and materials specified in the delivery note.

Pricing:

Based on initial conditions, the customer is informed in advance of the estimated price range for the requested service, along with a fee for diagnostics, storage, and handling, which is paid in advance.
If the initially estimated price for the above exceeds the agreed initial amount, the service center will notify the customer by phone or email to agree on a new repair price.
Once the device is repaired, the diagnostics fee is deducted from the agreed preliminary price.

Example:

Preliminary repair price: €100.
Paid diagnostics fee: €20.
Remaining balance upon pickup: €80.

If the customer does not agree with the repair price, or if the device cannot be repaired (or can only be partially repaired), the service center automatically charges a diagnostics fee of €35–€70, depending on the complexity and type of device.

Delivery Times:

Individual, typically 1 to 4 weeks, depending on prior consultation in person or by phone. It depends on complexity, original condition, required procedures, availability of spare parts, etc.

Storage Fee:

Charged if the customer does not pick up their repaired device by the agreed date or within one month following notification by the service center via phone or email.
Storage is charged at a rate of €1 per day.
If the customer fails to pick up their device within six months after the expiration of the aforementioned one-month period, I reserve the right to sell the device pursuant to Section 656(2) of the Civil Code. If the customer’s address is known and the device has significant value, I will inform the customer in advance of the intended sale and provide an additional 15-day grace period to pick up the device.

I reserve the right to refuse any job that, for example, shows signs of unqualified intervention, other damage, is extremely old, or is otherwise overly complex to repair.
