Denon PMA-1060

I stumbled upon Mr. Janečka quite by accident.

When I learned that he modifies amplifiers, I reached out to see if he would be willing to work on one from the collection I had built in my quest for the best possible sound.

After some consultation, we settled on the Denon PMA-1060.

The wait was hard, but once I listened to it at home… it was well worth it.

I would describe my impression from that first listen like this: “I’m just sitting there, and I have no desire to do anything other than keep listening to tracks I thought I already knew inside out—just to see what new details I might discover.”

The original Denon sounded very good, but after Mr. Janečka’s “treatment”—wow—it is an amplifier operating on a whole new level.

Breathtaking detail, soundstage, speed, and a balanced frequency range—yet the overall sound is never fatiguing.

I am grateful for this experience, and I consider this piece the true gem of my Hi-Fi setup.
